Have laptop. Will travel. This site is for the solo and small firm mobile legal professional on both sides of the Atlantic -- including barristers, advocates, lawyers, attorneys, and solicitors of all stripes.
Laptop legal covers legal practice management for people who are in charge of it all -- marketing and rainmaking, web presence, client development, and of course, advising on the law. I like to use a mac and write about their use for legal professionals, but this site isn't limited by OS and if I see a useful tool, I'll write about it. Solutions for solo and small firms up to 25 people.
I'm an American lawyer living in the United Kingdom working as a legal consultant and IP strategist for universities, the public sector, and private clients. I've been to 36 US states and 12 countries, and am already on track to add a whole lot more. I still haven't been to Canada, but make me an offer and I'll be there.
I've worked on my laptop in planes, trains, and automobiles, in coffee shops, pubs, bars, and restaurants, in libraries and in parks. You'll probably find me looking for a power outlet and an open wireless network.
